Product warning: Soft Paws
These things are little plastic caps that go over the nail of your pet as an alternative to getting your pet declawed. I was really excited about using them because my cat is 8, my roommate has leather couches, and I didn’t want that disaster on my hands. They are supposed to come off when your pet’s nails shed and then new caps replaced.
We didn’t realize that one of them had not shed. This happened because when I took my cat back to my dad’s she didn’t need the soft paws anymore. So one of them stayed on. On Sunday I was loving on my cat and I looked at her paws. One of the nails looked really big so I looked at her paw, top and bottom.
Her nail had grown, because the soft paw didn’t come off, INTO her paw pad. This poor thing had a nail curved into her paw.
So, unless you’re going to be up on making sure the caps come off your pets nails I would not recommend using this product.
